What’s new at The Watersports Camp in 2025

We are excited to update you on what’s new at The Watersports Camp this summer.

12 weeks of summer camp fun!

If your camper is in the San Diego Unified School District, school is out for the summer one week earlier this year, and we are excited to offer an extra week of camp! For the 2025 summer season, we are offering 12 fun-filled weeks from June 2, 2025, to August 22, 2025.

Late Supervision Sibling Discount

After bringing back late supervision last summer, we saw that many parents needed some extra time and flexibility to be able to pick their kids up from camp between 3:30pm-5:30pm. Late supervision was a popular add-on for many of our camp families and we understand that it is a true need for working families. We are once again offering late supervision this summer, and providing a bigger discount to those families with multiple children. When registering for camp, each additional sibling that you register will receive a 50% discount on late supervision. The price for the late supervision add-on is $75/week. After a long day of being in the sun and sand, campers will head inside to the classroom where they can watch movies, play board games, or relax from all the fun on the water. If looking for flexibility, make sure to add this add-on to your cart during registration.

Afternoon Performance Sailing

We are excited to offer a half-day Afternoon Performance Sailing option for campers who have completed Basic and Adventure Sailing. This camp goes beyond the basics to teach campers how to get the most performance and efficiency out of their boats across a wide range of conditions. High-performance sailing not only means that you will sail faster, but you will also be more comfortable while maintaining full control of your boat. Using the RS Quest we will cover the use of sail controls to refine sail shape to best match conditions. This camp will also cover tell-tale use and weight placement while also introducing the use of a spinnaker to increase downwind performance. Don’t miss out on your chance to join this camp during a few select weeks this summer (June 23-27, July 14-28, and August 4-8)

Waitlist Policy

We’ve put a new waitlist policy in place to allow as many opportunities as possible for campers to enjoy The Watersports Camp.

Waitlist Policy: If a spot becomes available more than 7 days before camp, we will email the first person on the waitlist, giving them 24 hours to accept and register. If we don’t hear back, we will continue to reach out to the next person on the waitlist up until 7 days before the start of camp.

If a spot becomes, or is still available 7 days or less before the start of camp, the entire waitlist will be emailed and the first person to register will receive the spot. Waitlisted campers will remain on the waitlist and will be notified if another spot becomes available in the future.

If your plans change and you are no longer available or interested in a waitlisted spot, please let us know and we can remove you from the waitlist notifications.

We hope that this policy helps streamline the waitlist process while providing clarity and fairness for families.
