The Mission Bay Aquatic Center has been awarded a 5-year contract to be the west coast school charged with training the next generation of naval officers in the tradition of sailing. MBAC and Sharp Rehabilitation partner for access to watersports
On Monday October 12, 2015, MBAC partnered with Sharp Healthcare for the Sharp Rehabilitation Day on the Bay. This event provided an opportunity for persons with disabilities to participate in watersports activities they might not otherwise have access to. Adaptive waterskiing, kayaking, tubing and sailing were a few of the accessible activities offered to the over 75 participants with disabilities. Read More

TRS Camp at the Bay provides access to watersports for persons with disabilities
Our mission statement at Mission Bay Aquatic Center includes ensuring a safe, enjoyable watersports experience for all who wish to participate. We were ecstatic and appreciative to once again be able to partner with the City of San Diego Therapeutic Recreation Services (TRS) to host a week-long “Camp at the Bay” event ensuring that watersports are accessible to persons with disabilities.
