Generous donations fund 80 weeks of camp in 2014
The Watersports Camp and The Mission Bay Aquatic Center would like to thank all the families and organizations who have pitched in to ensure great camp experiences for kids in need. In 2014 donations from our community of camp families working alongside with grants funded by the San Diego Yacht Club Sailing Foundation, the TK Foundation, The Torrey Pines Kiwanis Club, and California Division of Boating and Waterways, and Associated Students of San Diego State University allowed more than 80 weeks of camp to be awarded to campers and their families who may not otherwise have had the opportunity to participate. MBAC to be presented $50k gift at benefit concert featuring Grammy Award winners Los Lobos
The Torrey Pines Kiwanis will be presenting a gift of $50,000 to support watersports programs for persons with disabilities at MBAC at a very special concert featuring Grammy award-winning rock band Los Lobos, on June 1 at the Illumina Outdoor Amphitheater. Over 90 Volunteers Participate in MBAC’s Fall Beach Cleanup
On Sunday, November 17th 90 participants gathered at Mission Bay Aquatic Center for our second beach cleanup in 2013. Over 87 pounds of trash were picked up by volunteers that combed the beaches, alleys, and streets nearby in Mission Beach. Read More
