Join us for a beach clean-up Saturday, November 12

Help keep Mission Beach beautiful by volunteering with us to clean up the beach! We encourage you to join this community effort on Saturday, November 12 from 9am-12pm. Aside from spending quality time outdoors and getting some steps in, you’ll help create a safer environment for marine life and those who enjoy the beach. Children under the age of 10 will receive a free water safety coloring activity book for participating!

Celebrate Coastal Clean Up Day at MBAC with STEM Explorations!

The Mission Bay Aquatic Center invites students between the ages of 6-17 to take part in a special STEM Explorations- The Ocean, Clean Water and YOU event in honor of Coastal Cleanup Day on September 21st from 9:00am to 11:30am. This program provides a unique opportunity for students to explore human’s important relationship with the ocean through hands-on, interactive activities that inspire stewardship and empower students to facilitate real change in their community.

Protecting Our Ocean: 50 pounds of trash collected at MBAC Beach Cleanup

DID YOU KNOW? There are 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic debris in the ocean.

Mission Bay Aquatic Center and 51 community volunteers cleared over 24 pounds of trash and 26 pounds of recycling during the beach cleanup on April 14th! This was one of the most memorable beach clean-ups to date with volunteers collecting some unique and unusual items!
