Safe Boating Day Classes – May 18, 2025

We’re excited to celebrate National Safe Boating Week with special discounted boating safety classes at Mission Bay Aquatic Center on Sunday, May 18, 2025. California State Parks’ Division of Boating and Waterways recognizes this week as an opportunity to highlight the importance of responsible boating and water safety ahead of the busy summer season. From nighttime paddling and powerboat operation to keelboat sailing and wakesurfing, our safety-focused classes offer something for everyone looking to build skills and stay safe on the water. The classes below are open to all skill levels. Participants must be at least 14 years old and water-safe (able to swim 50 meters and tread water comfortably).

Celebrate Coastal Clean Up Day at MBAC with STEM Explorations!

The Mission Bay Aquatic Center invites students between the ages of 6-17 to take part in a special STEM Explorations- The Ocean, Clean Water and YOU event in honor of Coastal Cleanup Day on September 21st from 9:00am to 11:30am. This program provides a unique opportunity for students to explore human’s important relationship with the ocean through hands-on, interactive activities that inspire stewardship and empower students to facilitate real change in their community.
